Velvet Dresses

It's official, velvet is the fabric for the 2009-2010 season!

Seen on the catwalks of top designers such as Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralpha Lauren and Stella McCartney, to name a few, velvet is back and looking more luxurious than ever.

Whilst the traditional red is taking something of a back seat this year, deep and rich colors such as berry, grape, teal and sapphire look to be the hottest trends, seen in so many designer collections this season.

1930's styles in black and dark greys were seen in the Armani collections, with a lot of thirties inspired styles seen in many of the designer collections.  The only women wearing a white winter dress this season are going to wearing it for their wedding !

This is the perfect fabric for evening wear, but has also been revamped to create stylish cocktail dresses, for example, in the Calvin Klein designs.
