Summer 2010 - Sun Dresses to stunWearing short dresses is one of the joys of summer

Wondering what the summer fashion trends are for 2010 ?

One of the hottest events is the return of 80's fashions in the Paris, London and New York fashion shows!

Here's a few ideas of what's in this year and how you can make the most of it.

Beach dresses

Whether you're wearing a sarong to cover up, or want to look chic on the beach - finding the right dress can be difficult.  After a winter of covering up, you may feel a little self conscious about baring your body.

Long summer dresses

If you're off to a wedding, then a longer dress can look more formal as well as keeping your legs out of the sun.

Some summer fashion do's and don'ts

  1. Get your legs in shape - with shaving, waxing, creaming or epilating - it doesn't matter which you find easiest or most effective, but keep them hair free and moisturised for the best looks in warmer weather.
  2. Cover up your head and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes
  3. Wear big bags to the beach - not only are they the latest fashion, but they're very practical to carry your towel, lunch and sun lotion
  4. Wear sunscreen - nothing's going to look great if you're the colour of a lobster!

More 2010 summer fashion trends

Wedding dresses from Vera Wang look stunning and distinctive this season - bows and sheer fabrics create an unusual look - not unlike what you'd expect from this exciting designer.

Combining black and white in startling eye-catching patterns will be something that is likely to be seen on evening wear and party outfits this year.

For plus size women - accessorising with big jewellery is really hot this season.  Add touches or flashes of pinks or neons to create that designer style.

One of the most welcome new styles will be the more relaxed casual shape for jeans and pants - more comfortable and easy to wear.

For dresses, sheer fabrics are everywhere - either as an addition to your garment, or as an entire gown, as seen in some of the evening wear and bridal collections.
