Oscar Dresses - The Latest in Glamour for 2010 

The one place that you can see an array of famous designer evening gowns worn by the celebrities is the Oscars - this is the showcase for their latest style collections.

It's unbelievable for us mere mortals that famous women should be allowed to wear these glamorous gowns for free, simply as publicity for their designer.

However, it works and we all crave these stunning designs, to have a little glamour of our own.

Major fashion chains work hard to take inspiration and deliver affordable copied dresses in high street stores.

Whilst these gowns may not be replicas of the originals, the styles, colours and designs all come straight from the catwalks .

Many of the newspapers and fashion magazines enjoy running a best and worst of the Oscars - showing the dresses that they loved and hated, and who worn them.  This seems to be a now annual ritual, which we all partake in, and a way for us to somehow be involved in this celebrity occasion.
