It's a big occasion and one that you'll probably want to invite family and friends to share in the joy of your delightful baby - perhaps even a first party with your little princess to celebrate.

Your daughter's 1st birthday is probably more exciting for you, as she will probably be overwhelmed with her gifts , cards and visitors.

Buying the Perfect First Birthday Dress for your Baby Girl

With dresses for every budget,  your choice of clothing for her first birthday can be as simple or as extravagant as you choose.

However, with so many exquisite styles & designs available in many baby chain stores, you may well pay less than you think.

One of the classic looks for any baby girl is the pretty smocked dress - it's a vintage look that stands the test of time and fashion.

Another smart look, perfect for her first "formal" occasion, is a sailor dress,  she'll look very grown up for her special day.

One place to look is the small boutique where there are a few well chosen items, often with higher price tags, that have the extra something special. 

You may wish to accessorise with either a personalized bib with her name on or a keepsake "my first birthday" bib for her to wear (and hopefully to keep her pretty dress clean for a few more minutes!).
