Diane Von Furstenburg Designer Dresses

This iconic American designer epitomises feminine, flattering dress sense.

She is well known for introducing her wrap dress launched in 1973, which had a massive influence on women's fashion.  (Photos by PR photos)

Her fall 2009 - 2010, fashion show collection, "Nomad", was a real hit - scorning the recession and all the doom and gloom, with clothes in fabulous fabrics , pattern & embroidery, to give todays woman a real look of pzazz and elegant style.

Our favorite piece is the merino turtleneck sweater in a leopard print.  Check out the photos from this collection:-

The spring summer collection 2009 , entitled "Rock Goddess", featured sixties hippy inspired dresses and another twist on the Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, this time with in black plisse style.  The aim of each piece seemed to be clearly seductive and sexy, something which this designer creates to well.

Discount Designer Style

One of the best ways to reduce the cost of buying a furstenberg dress is to shop vintage - hours spent scouring the rails of your local thrift shop.

Or invest in a timeless DVF single piece of clothing - a top, skirt or jacket - to add that extra pzazz to your wardrobe.

If you're able to find out when the sample sale occurs, keep it under your hat, and go along to grab a bargain.

Another great gift idea for that special birthday, would be to ask for a DVF scarf,  with splashes of red to brighten up any winters day with vibrant color and style.

An extravagant gift idea is to treat yourself to some dvf luggage, her recent hearts collection in a jacquard style fabric (cooler & funkier than her signature collection) being both affordable, elegant and trendy - at under $200, perfect for every woman.
