Children's Dresses
There's something lovely about dressing little
girls up in pretty dresses - although it's probably not
something most mums will want to do everyday! (Too much
washing and ironing!)
Of course, there's occasions when you'll want to splash out
and get something extra special - their first Christmas, a
Christening, party or a wedding or event where formal wear is
requested or expected.
Dressing young boys up in outfits such as sailor suits can
also be fun, with them looking cute, whilst suitably like a
little boy!
When buying an outfit, you can really add a little something
extra by adding shoes or booties to match, ditto for bonnets
and hats.
Baby Christening Gowns
There's a wonderful range of traditional
christening gowns available from stores and online
suppliers again.
For several years, babies were dressed in modern or pretty
dresses for their christenings, but once again, parents are
choosing gowns that reflect the wonderful Christian heritage of
having a child christened.
This rite of passage is one to celebrate and enjoy - and
maybe buy a "new" gown which will become the heirloom for
future generations to come.
No More Beauty Pageants !
There seems to enough pressure on young children to fit a
certain type of stereotype - intelligent, beautiful, handsome,
attractive, witty, well-behaved - no wonder the youth of today
are going crazy trying to be all these things!
Whilst beauty pageants for young adults can be something
which they choose - let's just embrace the individuality and
beauty of each individual child for who they are.
