Beautiful in Brown Dresses

Brown dresses may feel boring to some people, but they can look incredibly stunning , when chosen and worn the right way.

Shades like champagne and chocolate will suit many skin tones, and these are often the most rich and luxurious colors to wear. Make your dress in sexy satin, or another luxury fabric, as plain cottons do not compliment brown very much.

When choosing shoes to go with the outfit, either pick some that match the dress, or for a look that is a little more fun, pick a brighter color then match it with a handbag or shrug. Pink heels and bag could look fab with a brown linen dress to an evening barbecue.

Most women would agree that brown goes very well with other earthy tones, red or green are particular favourites. Pop a couple of colourful flowers in your hair, to really bring your outfit to life.

Choosing brown for bridesmaids is not a common choice, but could look rather gorgeous. In the right fabric and shade of brown, a bridesmaid could have a fairly perfect day. For instance, a cappucino satin knee-length 50’s style dress would look very on-trend.

Formal evening gowns in this color are common, as it is a pretty safe selection. However, why not try jazzing it up a little by wearing a polka dot prom dress, or floor-length dark chocolate halter neck number.

Another great idea to make any outfit change between day and night is to pop a brown women’s leather jacket over the top. Make sure it fits you perfectly, and don’t forget to add some sparkle bracelets to complete the look.

Make sure that you don’t appear too boring in your choice of apparel, by adding expensive looking jewellery, in turquoise or in silver. And make sure that you apply your make-up with perfection, taking care not to look too doll-like.
