2010/10 Bridal Shoes -
in styles and colors you'll love !
Whilst they won't be one of the first purchases you make for
your wedding day - your choice of shoes or sandals will be very
important, not least in ensuring that your feet remain
comfortable for the whole day !
Once you have found the perfect wedding dress, you'll be
able to start looking for the right shoes and accessories to
match .
If you want to create your own unique footwear, it's
possible to buy dyeable shoes or to have them made or colored
to order .
A classic design choice is satin shoes in white
or ivory or pastels - usually with a low heel (or even
flat) for comfort, but you can also find some stunning
high-heeled designs if you feel that you need extra
height.
However, if you enjoy color and want your wedding day to
reflect that, the Zappos online site (below) has some great
designer options for shoes that you'll love - including vivid
red and spotted styles !
If you're planning to have an evening
of dancing - you may wish to consider purchasing two pairs
of shoes , so that you have one low heel version that you
can wear in around your home (nothing worse than blisters
from new shoes on your special day!) and know
that you'll feel comfortable in them.
Following that old adage, "something old, something new,
something borrowed, something blue" how about asking if your
mum has her old shoes - vintage is so cool at the moment (and
it also means you don't have to buy them, just borrow !)
Extra Narrow, Wide & Special Sizes
Womens feet are all different ! Thankfully there are a
wide range of styles available for every shape and size - so
whether you have wide or narrow feet, you should be able to
find something that fits perfectly.
When planning a summer wedding - consider whether the heat
may make your feet swell a little, and allow a little extra
room (though don't have them slopping about) just in case.
If you're struggling to find a perfect fit, try different
styles - from the simple ballet pump to strappy sandals
with a high heel - each has it's own
Options for Tall Women
With many women now as tall as six foot,
it's easier to find women's footwear with a low
heel or simply flat.
The ballet shoe is a cheap option worth
considering, if you are looking for something with a
simple design.
Dressing on a Budget
If you're trying to manage on a budget, don't buy footwear
that may make your feet ache or sweat by the end of the
day.
Instead look online for some discounted bargains from the
previous season - searching for 2007 bridal shoes on mail order
internet stores may help you find some clearance
items.
Some of the beaded Indian styles that we've seen in markets
over the past couple of years, are also an inexpensive option
that you'll be able to wear again with other outfits.
They're also ideal for a beach wedding and are rather more
stylish than flip flops.
Alternatively, eBay continues to be a source of surprises
and may be worth searching once a week, to see what turns
up.
Going Away Outfit
Don't forget to plan all the details of the outfit you leave
the reception in - including matching or co-ordinating sandals
or shoes .
